Dr Murad is a skincare veteran, in 1979 after the completion of his dermatology residency at UCLA’s VA Hospital, he starts small with his own 400-square-foot office and in 1989, he founded the first modern doctor skincare brand – proving just how important the brand heritage is within the industry. Within industry, the brand is a household name and Dr Murad was granted his first patented unique scientific discovery in 1998, this would be the first of 19 scientific and skincare-related patents he would receive, he is recognised for his life-long commitment to human wellness backed by science. Dr Howard Murad is not only a skincare and wellness expert, but also an author and painter who’s legacy will continue to be his passion towards people. 

Skincare is Healthcare

Dr. Murad launched what he called his “skincare revolution” at a speaking engagement at Esthetics’ West Expo in May of 1990. His manifesto was simple: “skincare is healthcare.” His vision was to bring skincare professionals of all stripes together to work as a team, using scientifically proven formulas and technologies, to help people achieve the healthiest, most beautiful skin possible.
