Murad Rapid Relief Spot Treatment Review

As we discussed in our introductory post to Murad, Murad is a Dr Skincare approved and adored brand. And that’s why this week, we’re doing a full review on the Murad Rapid Relief Spot Treatment from their Blemish Control collection. The Murad Rapid Relief Spot Treatment is one of our favourite products, that we don’t go anywhere without. Hormonal breakouts? Murad Spot Treatment is the answer. Papules or Pustules? Murad Spot Treatment is the answer. And we believe this is a product many of you skincare enthusiasts are sleeping on!

In this review we tell you why you need this product for yourself, how to use the murad spot treatment effectively and efficiently to get the best results and most from the product, and exactly why and where you can buy it right now.

Murad Spot Treatment – How to Use

Firstly, clean your skin using your favourite cleansing and toning products.

Tip: Dr Skincare also stocks more of the Blemish Control collection including the Toner and Water-Gel Moisturiser, if your skin is prone to acne or blemishes, this collection is the one for you and will help in achieving optimal results when using the Rapid Relief Spot Treatment.

Once your skin has been cleansed and toned, apply any serums within your routine followed by eye cream.

After these steps it’s time to apply the Murad Rapid Relief Spot Treatment to the affected area, taking a small amount onto your finger from the nozzle and applying directly on to the spot, spots or breakout area avoiding contact with eyes. You can apply the spot treatment up to three times daily, depending on your individual need.

Dr Skincare’s Sentiments

Honestly, we carry this product around with us to work, to socialise and put it next to our bed at night. It’s such a handy product with a fast-acting cocktail of salicylic acid, pine and thyme extracts working efficiently to battle breakout bacteria and impurities quickly and efficiently.

The formula certainly works to dry out the pimple, we recommend keeping a hydrating moisturiser such as the Murad Watergel Moisturiser from the Blemish Control collection on hand when using this product to combat breakouts, as it can slightly dry out the area around the spot as it works to clear the bacteria within the spot.

There are many products which claim to magically zap spots away, we know and agree that they just never work. Once the dreaded pimple starts to protrude from the chin, cheek, forehead or wherever it has popped up, you already know you are stuck with it for at least the next few days. So over those next few days, we highly recommend using the Rapid Relief Spot Treatment.

This product does not claim to magically disappear the spot, what it does do is physically lessen the redness and irritation around the spot, whilst visibly reducing the size of the pimple within around 24 hours of applying the product.

Another major selling point about this product is its ability to work well under makeup. We’ve all experienced the major annoyance of waking up on the morning of that big night out that has been planned for months with the angriest, reddest, most unwelcome spot… Well, from now on don’t panic!

Firstly, take some ice from the freezer and gently ice the area, then, reach for your Murad Rapid Relief Spot Treatment, get it straight on to that pimple until you are ready to get glam. Then, start your usual skin care routine and use your spot treatment again under concealer or foundation to reduce redness, irritation and visibility as you party into the night – the treatment is at work while you are at play! What more could you want?

Author Sentiments

I have routinely used Murad Spot Treatment for every spot or breakout that I’ve had over the last three years. It’s genuinely become a staple product of mine and after a few years of gatekeeping it (sorry!) I now tell everyone about it! Including friends and family… that’s why i had to review this product!

I use this as soon as I feel a spot coming and for the next few days as it comes to a head. I do like to pair it with a good moisturiser after it’s soaked in as I advised above, because the skin around the breakout can become a little dry.

What really surprised me about this product is how long it actually lasts, despite being only 15ml per unit, it will last you a whole 12 months (and probably more for me, but you should only use the product for 12 months after opening!)

But again, taking it back to what this website is all about, this product is part of the Murad brand. Dr Howard Murad, founder of Murad skincare, is quite literally a pioneer of Doctor and Dermatologist-developed skin care brands; he was the original. So, if I’m going to trust someone with blemish and breakout control it’s got to be Dr Murad himself.
So, if you fancy trying this product or you already love it like Dr Skincare and need to stock up, then we recommend purchasing via Amazon on our website using your prime account and you can have it the next day at no extra cost! You can read more about the Rapid Relief Spot Treatment product here. One more important thing to note is that pregnant women should not use this product during pregnancy, it is however safe to use when nursing.

So, there you have it – why you need this product is simple, it’s a bargain, it’s effective and one tube lasts you for ages! It’s a Dr Skincare must have.
